PM Narendra Modi Unveils Transformational Projects Worth Over Rs 50,700 Crores in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh, India – In a momentous event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects collectively worth more than Rs 50,700 crores in Bina, Madhya Pradesh today. The diverse projects encompass critical sectors, from petrochemicals to renewable energy and industrial zones, signifying a significant stride in the state’s progress.
Foundation Stones Laid for Key Projects:
- Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery: The Prime Minister inaugurated the Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery, a project initiated by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). With an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 49,000 crores, this complex is set to bolster India’s self-reliance in the petrochemical industry.
- Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone: Another cornerstone laid was for the Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone located in Narmadapuram district. This initiative aligns with India’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development.
- Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam: The Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam promises to bolster industrial growth in the region and provide a conducive environment for businesses.
- IT Parks in Indore: Two state-of-the-art IT parks in Indore, designed to foster innovation and technological advancements, received the Prime Minister’s blessing.
- Six New Industrial Parks: In a major boost to the industrial landscape, six new industrial areas were announced, further diversifying economic opportunities across Madhya Pradesh.
Prime Minister’s Address:
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the valor and heritage of Bundelkhand, a land of warriors. He expressed gratitude to the Madhya Pradesh Government for the opportunity to visit the state and recalled his participation in the foundation stone laying ceremony of Sant Ravidas Ji’s memorial.
PM Modi highlighted the transformative impact of the projects on the region’s development. He noted that the Central Government’s investment of 50,000 crore rupees in these projects surpasses the budgets of several Indian states, underscoring the commitment to Madhya Pradesh’s progress.
The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of self-reliance and reducing imports in the context of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He stressed that India’s dependence on foreign nations for essential resources like petrol, diesel, and petrochemical products needs to change. The Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery, he said, is a significant step towards achieving self-sufficiency in the petrochemical industry, impacting various sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture.
PM Modi assured that this complex would not only stimulate regional growth but also benefit small-scale farmers, entrepreneurs, and create numerous employment opportunities for the youth.
The Prime Minister lauded the state’s efforts to enhance transparency in governance and eliminate corruption. He recounted the challenging past when crime and corruption plagued Madhya Pradesh, and how the current government’s initiatives have restored law and order, improved connectivity, and attracted major industries to the state.
PM Modi highlighted India’s transformation, shedding the “mentality of slavery” and embracing confidence in its independent identity. He celebrated the success of G20 as a reflection of India’s global leadership and diversity, which left a lasting impression on visitors worldwide.
However, PM Modi cautioned against divisive forces and organizations intent on undermining India’s unity and heritage. He urged vigilance against those who seek to dismantle the principles and traditions that have united the nation for centuries.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to serving the nation and prioritizing the needs of the underprivileged. He cited numerous government initiatives, such as housing for the poor, free medical treatment, and reduced gas cylinder prices, as evidence of the government’s dedication to improving the lives of every citizen.
PM Modi also discussed the government’s efforts in the agricultural sector, including the reduction of fertilizer costs and the provision of piped water to households across the country.
He highlighted the importance of irrigation projects in Bundelkhand, particularly the Ken-Betwa Link Canal, which will benefit farmers across the region.
