PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Development Projects Worth Rs 19,260 Crores in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh
Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh – Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects totaling approximately Rs 19,260 crores in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Delhi-Vadodara Expressway Inauguration
Among the noteworthy projects, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, a crucial infrastructure development costing around Rs 11,895 crores. This expressway aims to enhance connectivity and transportation efficiency.
Housing for All Initiatives
The commitment to providing housing for all was underscored with the Grih Pravesh of over 2.2 lakh houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin. Additionally, houses built under PMAY – Urban were dedicated at a cost of approximately Rs 140 crores.
Jal Jeevan Mission Expansion
Ensuring access to safe and adequate drinking water remains a priority, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for Jal Jeevan Mission projects valued at over Rs 1530 crores. These initiatives will benefit more than 720 villages in the Gwalior and Sheopur districts.
Enhancing Healthcare Infrastructure
The health infrastructure received a boost with the foundation stone laying for nine health centers under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. These centers, with an estimated investment of over Rs 150 crores, will contribute to improved healthcare services in the region.
Academic Development and Logistics Expansion
Education witnessed significant growth as the Prime Minister inaugurated the academic building of IIT Indore and initiated the foundation stone for a hostel and other campus structures. A Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Indore was also marked with the foundation stone laying.
Transforming Madhya Pradesh
In his address, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the transformation of Madhya Pradesh from a ‘bimaru rajya’ (backward state) to one of the top 10 states in India. He expressed the government’s commitment to elevate the state further, aiming to place it among the top 3 states.
The Prime Minister highlighted various schemes, including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, focusing on small farmers and promoting millet as a valuable crop. He also emphasized the Vishwakarma Yojana’s benefits for artisans and workers of various trades.
Empowering Women and Ensuring Guarantees
Empowering women through housing in their names was a significant aspect of the projects, making numerous families ‘Lakhpati.’ Prime Minister Modi reiterated that women’s empowerment is a mission of national reconstruction and welfare. He referred to the recently passed ‘Narishakti Vandan Adhniyam’ and emphasized “Modi Guarantee” as the assurance of fulfilling all guarantees.
