Partial Cancellation of Trains due to Traffic Block at Dibrugarh Town Station
The railway authorities have also appealed to the passengers to cooperate with them
The Northeast Frontier Railway has announced the temporary partial cancellation of two important trains in view of the upcoming dismantling and rebuilding of the ROB at Dibrugarh Town station.
As per the notification, the 12424 New Delhi-Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express, which is scheduled to run from 5 May 2023 to 4 September 2023, will be short-terminated at Dibrugarh instead of Dibrugarh Town. It will remain partially cancelled between Chaulkhow and Dibrugarh Town. Similarly, the 12423 Dibrugarh Town-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, which is scheduled to run from 7 May 2023 to 6 September 2023, will originate from Dibrugarh and remain partially cancelled between Dibrugarh Town and Chaulkhow.
This temporary partial cancellation has been necessitated due to the traffic block at Dibrugarh Town station in connection with the dismantling and rebuilding of the ROB. The work is scheduled to take place from 7 May 2023 to 6 September 2023.
The partial cancellation is likely to cause inconvenience to the passengers. However, the railway authorities have assured that alternative arrangements will be made for the affected passengers. Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and check the status of their trains before commencing their journey during this period.
The railway authorities have also appealed to the passengers to cooperate with them during the period of the traffic block and the partial cancellation of trains, as the work being carried out is crucial for the safety of the passengers and smooth functioning of the railway network
