Konkan Railway collects ₹55.99 lakh as fine from ticketless travel in a month

A total of ₹55.99 lakh was recovered from fines by the Special squad of Train Ticket Examiners (TTE)

Konkan Railway launched a special drive against ticket-less travel. In the surprise ticket checking campaign during the month of March 2022, a total of 8,633 unauthorized / irregular travelers were detected without tickets and were penalized.

A total of ₹55.99 lakh was recovered from fines by the Special squad of Train Ticket Examiners (TTE) deployed. Konkan Railway appeals to passengers to travel with proper and valid tickets in order to avoid the inconvenience.
