Jabalpur to Welcome Air Connectivity from Delhi & Mumbai Starting March 2024
Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, is set to witness a significant boost in air connectivity with the resumption of direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai commencing in March 2024. The flights will be operated by SpiceJet, aimed at facilitating easier travel and fostering economic growth in the region.
The direct flight service from Delhi to Jabalpur is scheduled to commence on March 1st, 2024. Operated twice a week, this service aims to cater to the growing demand for air travel between the two cities. Additionally, flights connecting Mumbai to Jabalpur will commence from March 2nd, 2024, further enhancing connectivity options for travelers.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, highlighted the significance of this initiative. He emphasized that the increased connectivity will not only provide convenience to the residents of Jabalpur but also bolster trade, commerce, and employment opportunities in the region.
Furthermore, Jabalpur Airport is undergoing infrastructure development with the construction of a new Terminal Building at an estimated cost of Rs. 412 crore. This modernization initiative is expected to invigorate travel and spur economic development in Jabalpur and its surrounding areas.
