IRCTC Launches “Shri Ramayana Yatra” via Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, announces the commencement of its revered pilgrimage tour, the “Shri Ramayana Yatra,” aboard the luxurious Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train. This meticulously curated journey spans 7600 kilometers and covers numerous holy sites and temples associated with the life of Lord Rama.

Scheduled to depart from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on June 07, 2024, the Shri Ramayana Yatra is designed to offer a transformative spiritual experience over a period of 17 nights and 18 days. The tour promises to take participants on a divine odyssey through the footsteps of Lord Rama, visiting revered destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam, and Nagpur.

Embarking on this sacred journey, tourists will immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Hindu mythology, beginning with Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, where they will visit the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Hanuman Garhi temple. The pilgrimage continues with stops at Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, and Chitrakoot, each destination resonating with the essence of the Ramayana epic.

The modern amenities of the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train ensure a comfortable and enriching travel experience. Equipped with two fine dining restaurants, a contemporary kitchen car, shower cubicles, sensor-based washroom functions, foot massagers, and a mini library, the train offers three categories of accommodation: AC I, AC II, and AC III. Enhanced security measures including CCTV cameras, electronic safes, and dedicated security guards ensure the safety of passengers throughout the journey.

The tour packages, priced at Rs. 96,575/- per person for AC III, Rs.1,34,710/- per person for AC II, Rs. 1,45,745/- per person for AC I cabin, and Rs 1,66,810/- per person for AC I coupe, cover train travel, accommodation in AC hotels, vegetarian meals, sightseeing in AC vehicles, travel insurance, and the services of IRCTC Tour Managers. IRCTC prioritizes the health and safety of tourists by implementing necessary precautionary measures during the tour.
