Indian Railways Showcases Its Futuristic Vision at IITF 2024 Pavilion
The Ministry of Railways is participating in the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF), held from 14th to 27th November 2024 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year’s theme, “Viksit Bharat @2047,” reflects India’s aspirations to become a self-reliant, prosperous, and resilient nation by 2047. Under this theme, Indian Railways has set up a captivating pavilion showcasing its “Futuristic Indian Railways” vision.
The pavilion was inaugurated by Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board. The pavilion highlights the transformative journey of Indian Railways through innovative technologies and structural advancements, presented via models, photos, and translites.
Notable exhibits include the proposed Sabarmati Station under the National High-Speed Rail Corridor, along with models of iconic structures such as the Anji Bridge and Pamban Bridge. Visitors can also explore models of India’s first semi-high-speed train, Vande Bharat Express, the upcoming Amrit Bharat Trains, and high-speed locomotives.
The pavilion offers an engaging experience for all age groups. Interactive screens showcase videos of India’s scenic railway routes, while an interactive quiz educates visitors about the rich history and achievements of Indian Railways. The pavilion aims to be both informative and entertaining, highlighting the nation’s strides in modernizing its rail infrastructure and bringing attention to new initiatives aimed at shaping the future of rail travel in India.
