Indian Railways Ensures Smooth Travel with 540 Services During Holi Festivities
As the festive spirit of Holi sweeps across the nation, Indian Railways has stepped up its efforts to ensure hassle-free and comfortable journeys for passengers. With a total of 540 train services announced, the railways aims to cater to the surge in travel demand during this joyful season.
These train services have been strategically planned to connect major destinations across the country, covering prominent railway routes such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg-Patna, and Barauni-Surat, among others.
To manage the crowds efficiently, special measures have been implemented at major stations. Queue formations at terminus stations, supervised by Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff, ensure orderly entry of passengers into unreserved coaches. Additional RPF personnel have been deployed to enhance security measures, and officers are on Emergency Duty at key stations to oversee smooth operations.
Furthermore, staff members are stationed in various sections to promptly address any disruptions in train services. To keep passengers informed, frequent and timely announcements regarding the arrival and departure of trains, along with platform numbers, are being made.
The proactive measures undertaken by Indian Railways aim to provide passengers with a seamless travel experience during the festive season, ensuring their safety, comfort, and convenience throughout their journey.
