India Marks Grand 75th Republic Day Celebrations with French President Macron as Chief Guest
In a momentous occasion, India is jubilantly observing its 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024, with French President Emmanuel Macron gracing the event as the chief guest.
Under the theme ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Loktatantra ki Matruka,’ this year’s Republic Day celebrations are set to be a spectacular showcase of India’s progress and democratic ideals.
The Republic Day parade, scheduled to commence at 10:30 am (IST) from Vijay Chowk in New Delhi, will traverse the route from Vijay Chowk to Kartavya Path, passing through Rashtrapati Bhawan and Rajpath.
The venue is poised to welcome around 77,000 attendees, with 42,000 seats reserved for the general public, ensuring a diverse representation of the populace.
The celebrations will feature an array of captivating tableaus, illuminating India’s rich cultural history, traditions, and diverse heritage. The cultural pageantry promises to captivate spectators with vibrant folk dance performances and patriotic songs.
Highlights of this year’s Republic Day include a groundbreaking women’s tri-service group parade, the participation of a French contingent, collaboration between six Indian and French military personnel, the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the parade, and a special spotlight on ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3. These attractions add an extra layer of significance to the already momentous occasion, symbolizing India’s achievements and global collaborations.
