IIT Delhi’s Robust Placement Season 2023-24 Sees 1050 Job Offers in Phase 1

New Delhi: The prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has witnessed an impressive start to its placement season for the academic year 2023–24, with students securing approximately 1050 job offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), in Phase 1. Out of this, around 1000 students have been uniquely selected.

International recognition is evident as students received over 50 offers (including PPOs) from more than 20 global organizations spanning Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Top recruiters during this phase include Air India, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, and Ola Electric. The placement scenario has seen a robust trend in core (technical) placements, followed by the IT sector. Management roles are core to students in the Management Studies Department.

Prof. R. Ayothiraman, Professor Incharge, Office of Career Services, expressed satisfaction, stating, “Despite the anticipated challenges this year, we have performed well in Phase 1. We appreciate the recruiters for believing in our students’ talent. Congratulations to the students for their resilience and outstanding performance.”

Dr. Anishya O. Madan, Industrial Liaison Officer, Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi, noted, “The core sector has shown increased interest this year. We extend our thanks to all recruiting organizations for their trust in our students. We anticipate this positive trend to continue in the upcoming phases.”

The Office of Career Services is actively working to bring more companies and profiles in Phase 2, scheduled to begin in mid-January. The placement season, running from December to May, involves over 370 organizations across sectors offering 700-plus job profiles. Dr. Madan highlighted that processes for more than 450 job profiles have been completed, with others scheduled for the next phase. The collaborative efforts of the OCS team and industry players ensure a seamless conduct of the selection processes.
