ICF gets 5 Star Hygiene Rating and ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification of FSSAI
ICF administration is having four canteens for its employees and all the four canteens have now been accredited with 5 Star Hygiene Rating
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Govt. of India, is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through regulation and supervision of food safety all over India.
Under the ‘Eat Right Campus’ initiative, FSSAI issues star rating certificates for hygiene to various schools, universities, colleges, hospitals, work places, etc., Before issuing such a certificate, the concerned establishment is vigorously audited for various guidelines such as reducing food wastage, the disposal of wastage residual food through bio-degradation process, periodical testing of RO water and food samples, periodical medical examination of canteen staff, ensuring wearing of proper clothing for the canteen staff such as apron, gloves, head caps, etc., usage of fortified edible products, and other specified norms.
ICF administration is having four canteens for its employees and all the four canteens have now been accredited with 5 Star Hygiene Rating and the ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification by the FSSAI. It is pertinent to mention that ICF is the first railway production unit to be certified under the ‘Eat Right Campus’ initiative with 5 star rating.
Today, the certificate for the ‘Eat Right Campus’ was handed over to A.K. Agarwal, General Manager, ICF, by P. Muthumaran, Director (Southern Region) of FSSAI, in the presence of P.U.K. Reddy, Chief Administrative Officer, ICF and other officials of ICF and FSSAI, today
