Heavy Rainfall Hits Central Madhya Pradesh; Orange/Red Warnings Issued

As per the latest reports from Mausam Vibhag, several districts in Central Madhya Pradesh have experienced heavy rainfall, causing significant water accumulation in the region. The rainfall data reported till 08:30 IST (in mm) is as follows:

East MP

  • Damoh (Jabera) – 282.0 mm
  • Panna (Ajaigarh) – 221.2 mm
  • Narsinghpur – 176.0 mm
  • Niwari (Orchha) – 165.0 mm
  • Chhindwara (Tamia) – 164.0 mm
  • Dindori (Mehadwani) – 145.2 mm
  • Tikamgarh (Mohangarh) – 130.0 mm
  • Satna (Amarpatan) – 127.0 mm
  • Umaria (Pali) – 110.8 mm
  • Sagar (Jaisinagar) – 108.4 mm
  • Katni (Vijayraghavgarh) – 108.1 mm
  • Seoni (Barghat) – 108.0 mm
  • Balaghat – 104.8 mm
  • Anuppur (Pushpajgarh) – 97.9 mm
  • Chhatarpur (Gaurihar) – 97.0 mm

West MP

  • Datia (Bhainder) – 216.0 mm
  • Narmadapuram (Pipariya) – 168.0 mm
  • Bhind (Mau) – 126.0 mm
  • Raisen (Bareli) – 124.0 mm
  • Vidisha (Pathari) – 115.0 mm
  • Shivpuri (Khaniyadhana) – 94.0 mm

Highlighted districts with rainfall 16 cm or above have been issued orange/red warnings and are located in the north-south belt of central MP, where East and West MP regions meet. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure safety and take necessary measures to handle any potential waterlogging or flooding in these areas. Residents are advised to stay cautious and follow official updates.
