Extended Stoppage for Vande Bharat Express at Udhampur and Kathua Stations: Important Update for Rail Commuters – Effective from JCO 13.02.2024

In an update for rail commuters, it has been announced that two-minute stoppages will be provided for certain trains at Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) and Kathua Stations, effective from the Joint Control Office (JCO) 13.02.2024.

Extended Stoppage for Vande Bharat Express:

Passengers traveling on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22478) and its counterpart, the New Delhi- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22477), will now benefit from extended stoppages at both Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) and Kathua Stations. The new stoppage timings are as follows:

  • Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur):
    • Arrival: 06:14
    • Departure: 06:16
  • Kathua Station:
    • Arrival: 08:03
    • Departure: 08:05

Revised Timings for Other Trains:

Furthermore, due to operational reasons, the arrival and departure timings of two other trains have been revised:

  1. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Shri Shakti Express (Train No. 22462):
    • Effective from JCO 13.02.2024
    • Revised Timings:
      • Arrival at Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur): 23:44
      • Departure from Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur): 23:46
  2. Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan – DURG Super Fast Express (Train No. 20848):
    • Effective from JCO 13.02.2024
    • Revised Timings:
      • Arrival at Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur): 00:05
      • Departure from Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur): 00:07

These changes aim to improve connectivity and facilitate smoother journeys for passengers traveling to and from Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) and Kathua Stations. Passengers are advised to take note of the revised timings to avoid any inconvenience during their travel.
