ECR General Manager Anil Kumar Khandelwal Conducts Surprise Inspection at Sonpur Station

Hajipur, November 21, 2023: Anil Kumar Khandelwal, the General Manager of East Central Railway (ECR), made an unannounced visit to Sonpur Station today, overseeing preparations for the upcoming Chhath Puja festival, passenger amenities, and a meticulous inspection of cleanliness. The information about the General Manager’s inspection reached Divisional Rail Manager Vivek Bhushan Sood, who also joined the inspection.

It is known that East Central Railway has undertaken extensive management measures for the convenience and safety of passengers after the Chhath Puja. General Manager Anil Kumar Khandelwal is personally monitoring this in real-time. Today, the Mahaprabandhak (General Manager) examined crowd management, cleanliness, passenger safety, and other facilities being provided at Sonpur Junction.

In the evening, the General Manager inspected the “Control Room” located at the headquarters, directing employees to remain vigilant at all times. He emphasized quick decision-making in any situation and praised officers for their constant vigilance. Additionally, he instructed officers to take immediate action in any contingency. After the Chhath Puja, he lauded the smooth operation of a considerable number of passenger trains and commended officers/employees for efficient handling of record cargo transportation. He also boosted their morale for achieving better results in the future.
