CDS Gen Anil Chauhan Commends Agniveer Training at INS Chilka

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan recently visited INS Chilka, the Indian Navy’s premier training establishment, to assess the Agniveer training program. During his visit, Gen Chauhan emphasized the importance of the ‘Agnipath Scheme’ in nurturing skilled and motivated youth for national defense. He urged Agniveers to focus on technological proficiency. Gen Chauhan also inspected the training infrastructure and praised the faculty for maintaining high standards.

CDS Gen Anil Chauhan paid a visit to INS Chilka, the esteemed ab-initio training facility of the Indian Navy, to evaluate the Agniveer training program. During his visit, Gen Chauhan was briefed on the significant role played by INS Chilka in shaping the future sea warriors of the Indian Navy.

A comprehensive overview of the Agniveer training activities was provided, along with an analysis of the trained batches to date. In his address to the Agniveers, Gen Chauhan highlighted the pivotal role of the ‘Agnipath Scheme’ in maintaining a youthful profile in the armed forces and fostering skilled and disciplined youth for nation-building purposes.

Gen Chauhan encouraged the Agniveers to concentrate on acquiring technological expertise to excel as sea warriors. He also engaged in an interactive session, addressing various queries raised by the Agniveers.

To gain deeper insights into the Agniveer training program, Gen Chauhan undertook a brief tour of the training infrastructure. He commended the training faculty for their dedication and commitment to maintaining high standards, thus ensuring the development of the next generation of proficient sea warriors.
