BATMAN Squad Apprehends 2345 Ticketless Travelers in Mumbai Central Division

In an endeavor to combat ticketless traveling and associated challenges, the ‘BATMAN’ squad (Be Aware TTE Manning At Night) under the Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway (WR) has achieved significant results. Over the nights of March 11th and 12th, 2024, the squad apprehended a total of 2345 individuals involved in ticketless travel and handled various other cases. As a result, fines amounting to Rs 6,29,215/- were collected from the offenders, contributing to efforts to uphold the integrity of the railway system.

The Western Railway has taken proactive measures to address the inconvenience faced by authorized passengers due to the presence of unauthorized travelers. Initiating an overnight ticket checking campaign, the railway aims to ensure that genuine passengers experience a seamless and hassle-free journey without the interference of ticketless travelers.

The BATMAN squad, known for its vigilant operations during nighttime, remains steadfast in its commitment to passenger safety and security. Beyond merely enforcing ticketing regulations, the squad endeavors to create a safe and secure environment for all passengers traveling during the night.
