Baisakhi Celebrations Reverberate as Lieutenant Governor Pays Homage at Gurudwara Sahib Abtal, Ramgarh Samba
Samba, April 13: Today, on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha graced the Gurudwara Sahib Abtal in Ramgarh, Samba, with his presence, offering prayers for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
During his address, the Lieutenant Governor extended warm greetings to the people, reflecting on the profound vision of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji for a society rooted in justice and inclusivity.
“I pay my respects to the venerable Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. His message of selfless service, truthfulness, sacrifice, equality, and universal love serves as a perennial source of inspiration for all of us,” remarked the Lieutenant Governor.
Recalling the historic significance of the day, he emphasized the transformational moment in 1699 when Guru Gobind Singh Sahib introduced the Amrit ceremony, initiating Sikhs into the Khalsa Panth, embodying the ethos of Saint-Soldiers.
Addressing the youth, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to emulate the noble ideals espoused by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji, emphasizing the imperative of tirelessly working towards the upliftment of the marginalized and underprivileged.
In homage to the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, he hailed their courage and sacrifice, underscoring how their legacy continues to inspire the nation’s journey towards realizing their dreams.
Additionally, he commended the invaluable contributions of the farming community, acknowledging their pivotal role in the nation’s progress.
The occasion witnessed the presence of S. Ajit Singh, Chairman of the Sikh Coordination Committee J&K, S. Amarjeet Singh, President of Gurudwara Sahib Abtal, along with senior officials of the Police and Civil Administration, religious leaders, and esteemed members of the community, all coming together to pay their respects at the Gurudwara Sahib.
