Ashok Kumar Mishra, GM of Western Railway, Inspects Under-Construction Tunnel Between Tihi-Pithampur
Dahod to Indore Railway Line Project Makes Significant Progress
Dahod to Indore railway line project, connecting Jhabua, Sardarpur, and Dhar, has achieved a major milestone. A total of 32.30 kilometers out of the 204.76-kilometer stretch has been completed and commissioned. Land acquisition has been successfully completed, with the exception of the Sardarpur-Jhabua section, where the Final Location Survey (FLS) is currently in progress.
Notably, the alignment between Dhar and Amjhera has been revised in accordance with the recommendations of the Honorable Minister of Infrastructure, Public Works and Investment Promotion (IPIP) of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. This revision has resulted in cost savings by eliminating the need for two lane ROBs at NHAI crossings.
In the Tihi-Dhar and Jhabua-Katwara sections, contracts for earthwork, bridges, tunnels, and overhead electrical crossings have been awarded, and progress is underway.
Ashok Kumar Mishra, General Manager of Western Railway, conducted an inspection of the under-construction tunnel between Tejhi and Pithampur as part of the Indore-Dahod rail line project under the Western Railway Ratlam Division.
