Railway Mega Block for Maintenance Disrupts Services in Karanjadi-Kamathe and Kumta-Bhatkal Sections

In an effort to ensure the upkeep of railway assets, a mega block has been scheduled for maintenance activities in the Karanjadi-Kamathe section on 21/11/2023 (Tuesday) from 12:40 hrs to 15:10 hrs (Total – 02.30 hrs). The operation of this mega block will have repercussions on train services as follows:

  • Train no. 02197 Coimbatore – Jabalpur Special, scheduled to commence its journey on 20/11/2023, will be regulated for 110 minutes between the Madgaon – Sangameshwar Road section.
  • Train no. 10106 Sawantwadi Road – Diva Express, embarking on its journey on 21/11/2023, will be regulated for 70 minutes between the Sawantwadi Road – Sangameshwar Road section.

Similarly, the Kumta – Bhatkal section will undergo maintenance on 23/11/2023 (Thursday) from 12:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs (Total – 03.00 hrs), impacting the following train services:

  • Train no. 16585 Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru – Murdeshwar Express, set to commence its journey on 22/11/2023, will be short-terminated at Bhatkal station and partially cancelled between Bhatkal – Murdeshwar section.
  • Train no. 16586 Murdeshwar – Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Express, starting its journey on 23/11/2023, will be short-originated from Bhatkal station on its scheduled time and partially cancelled between Murdeshwar – Bhatkal section.
  • Train no. 22114 Kochuveli – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Express, commencing its journey on 23/11/2023, will be regulated for 20 minutes at Bhatkal station.

These maintenance activities aim to ensure the reliability and safety of railway assets, and passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, considering the regulated schedules during the specified mega block periods.
