PM Modi to Launch Rs 5,400-Crore Development Projects in Gujarat Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his two-day visit to Gujarat on August 25-26, where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 5,400 crore. He will address a public gathering at Khodaldham Ground, Ahmedabad.

On August 26, the Prime Minister will visit Hansalpur, Ahmedabad, where he will inaugurate localized production of hybrid battery electrodes and flag off exports of Suzuki’s first global strategic Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the “e-VITARA,” to over 100 countries. He will also dedicate several railway projects worth Rs 1,400 crore, including doubling of the Mahesana-Palanpur line and gauge conversion of key routes, enhancing connectivity and boosting regional growth.

Modi will also inaugurate power distribution projects worth Rs 1,000 crore, urban infrastructure upgrades, slum rehabilitation under PMAY (U), road-widening works on the Sardar Patel Ring Road, and key administrative infrastructure, including a new Stamps and Registration Building in Ahmedabad West and a State Data Storage Centre in Gandhinagar.

These initiatives are expected to strengthen transport efficiency, energy reliability, digital governance, industrial growth, and green mobility, marking significant progress towards the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.
