In an ambitious endeavor, Nagpur Station’s redevelopment is well underway with a budget of 487.77 Crores. The transformation is marked by several significant milestones and upgrades:
- Eastern Upgradation: The eastern side of the station is currently undergoing a comprehensive upgrade, enhancing the station’s overall infrastructure and amenities.
- Cleaning and Revamping: The initiative includes the cleaning and revitalization of short goods sidings and the scrap dumping yard, paving the way for enhanced functionality.
- New Arrival Building: As part of the project, a brand-new arrival building is set to be constructed in these areas, providing passengers with a modern and convenient entry point to the station.
- Basement Parking: Work is in progress for the development of a basement parking facility on the eastern side, ensuring a more organized and efficient parking system for commuters.
- Utility Shifting: On the western side of the station, a crucial phase of the project has been completed, involving the shifting of essential utilities such as sewer lines, electrical cables, signal, and telecommunication cables.
