Minister of Railways flags off 00864 Ambikapur – Nizamuddin Weekly Special Express Train through Video Conferencing from Saharanpur

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways conducted rear window inspection of New Delhi – Saharanpur rail section today. He was accompanied by Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway, Dimpy Garg, DRM, Delhi and Principal Heads of the Departments of Northern Railway and senior officers of Delhi Division.
Boarding the inspection carriage from New Delhi Station for the inspection, the Minister was briefed about the developmental projects ongoing in the New Delhi-Saharanpur section. He was also informed about the various stations falling on this section and the passenger amenities present on them. Expressing satisfaction on the progress of the works MR advised that all these projects should be completed on time. He further emphasized that utmost importance should be given to safety of train operations in this section as there is high density of rail traffic on this route.
The MR flagged off the inaugural run of 00864 Ambikapur-H. Nizamuddin Weekly Special Train through Video conferencing from Saharanpur Railway Station. The inaugural train left Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh at 09.30 am and will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin station tomorrow at 04.35 am. The regular service of this train (04044) will be initiated from H. Nizamuddin from 19.07.2022 departing at 11.00 pm to reach Ambikapur the next day at 07.30 pm. The service from Ambikapur (04043) will be initiated from 21.07.2022, departing at 07.15 am to reach H. Nizamuddin at 04.35 am the next day. The train will stop at Bijuri, Anuppur Jn, Shahdol, Katni Murwara, Saugor, Agasod, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Gwalior Jn., Agra Cantt., Mathura Jn. stations enroute both ways.
The Minister interacted with the Media present on the station. He replied to their queries and informed them that Railways is leaving no efforts to complete the ongoing developmental projects and works of passenger amenities on time. He also keenly listened to the expectations and demands of the people, especially introduction of more trains in the region and stoppages of existing ones. He assured them that the Ministry will definitely ensure that better and convenient services are provided to the rail users of this region.
