Bhusawal-Manmad 3rd Line Project Progress: Enhancing Efficiency and Easing Congestion on the Mumbai-Howrah Route

In a significant development, the Bhusawal-Manmad 3rd line project is making steady progress, with the aim of improving efficiency and reducing congestion on the busy Mumbai-Howrah route. The project, spanning a total section of 183.94 km and costing approximately 1360.16 Crores, is set to bring numerous benefits to rail travel in the region.

A) Completed Sections: The Bhusawal-Manmad 3rd line project has successfully completed the Bhusawal to Pachora section, covering a distance of 71.72 km. This accomplishment marks a significant step forward in the project’s implementation.

B) Near Completion Sections (Likely Commissioning this Year): Excitingly, two sections of the project are nearing completion and expected to be commissioned later this year. The Chalisgaon to Pimparkhed section, covering a distance of 31.79 km, and the Nandgaon to Manmad section, spanning 25.09 km, are progressing rapidly, bringing the project closer to its final stages.

C) Ongoing Works: Efforts are also underway for the remaining sections of the Bhusawal-Manmad 3rd line project. The Pachora to Chalisgaon section, extending over 44.94 km, and the Pimparkhed to Nandgaon section, covering 10.40 km, are currently in progress, showcasing the commitment to ensure timely completion of the entire project.

The completion of the new 3rd line will not only alleviate congestion but also pave the way for enhanced train speeds along the Bhusawal-Manmad section of the Mumbai-Howrah route.
