140 Police Personnel Honored with Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation 2023

Recognizing Outstanding Efforts in Crime Investigation, the Prestigious Medal Presented to Officers Across India

New Delhi, August 12, 2023 – A total of 140 exemplary police officers have been bestowed with the distinguished “Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for the year 2023. Established in 2018 to bolster high professional standards in crime investigation and commend exceptional accomplishments, the medal continues to inspire and acknowledge exceptional investigative work across the country.

The esteemed accolade, announced annually on August 12th, was presented to personnel from a range of organizations, including 15 from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 12 from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and representatives from various states and union territories. Among the honored officers, 22 are accomplished women in the police force, reinforcing the commendable diversity in the field.

The list of awardees encompasses a diverse spectrum of officers from different ranks, representing various states and union territories. From Andhra Pradesh to Mizoram, each awardee’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of investigation has been recognized.
