Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates infrastructure projects worth Rs 6,100 crores in Warangal, Telangana

Warangal, Telangana: In a major development boost for Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for several infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 6,100 crores in Warangal today. These projects include the construction of a 176 km long National Highway, valued at over Rs 5,550 crores, as well as a state-of-the-art Railway Manufacturing Unit in Kazipet, worth over Rs 500 crores.

During his visit, the Prime Minister also took the opportunity to perform darshan and pooja at the Bhadrakali Temple, emphasizing the cultural significance of the region.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi praised the people of Telangana for their significant contributions to India’s growth, noting that the capabilities of Telugu people have consistently enhanced the nation’s capabilities. He commended the youthful energy of today’s India and urged everyone to seize the opportunities that lie ahead.

Highlighting the importance of modern infrastructure for rapid development, the Prime Minister stressed that obsolete infrastructure hinders progress and impedes economic growth. He outlined the government’s commitment to improving Telangana’s connectivity and infrastructure, citing examples of ongoing projects and the expansion of the highway network. The Prime Minister emphasized Telangana’s role as a connecting hub for surrounding economic centers, facilitating increased economic activity and employment opportunities.

Touching upon the manufacturing sector, Prime Minister Modi highlighted its growing significance as a source of employment for the country’s youth. He mentioned the government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, designed to promote domestic manufacturing, and highlighted the record-breaking growth in India’s defense exports. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the achievements of the Indian Railways in manufacturing modern coaches and locomotives.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Tourism, Shri G Kishan Reddy, and Member of Parliament, Shri Sanjay Bandi.

These infrastructure projects signify the government’s commitment to inclusive development, aiming to strengthen connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and provide employment opportunities across Telangana. The Prime Minister concluded his address by emphasizing the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and urging Telangana to continue its journey of progress and development.
