The initiative by Team Coaching Depot Nagercoil is a great example of how waste materials can be turned into useful products

Team Coaching Depot Nagercoil, under the leadership of Sr. DME/TVC, has come up with an innovative solution to replace plastic chairs made from non-biodegradable material. The team has created sofas made from empty oil barrels, which is both environment friendly and long-lasting. The best part is that the total cost of making these sofas is only 200 rupees.

The team used empty oil barrels, left-over plywood sheets, iron rods for legs from scrap, and unused rexine to create these unique and eco-friendly sofas. These barrels are easily available for free and can be repurposed in a cost-effective manner. The use of scrap iron rods and left-over plywood sheets for the legs of the sofas also adds to their sustainability factor.

The initiative by Team Coaching Depot Nagercoil is a great example of how waste materials can be turned into useful products. The team’s effort in creating these sofas not only saves the environment but also provides a solution to the problem of disposing of empty oil barrels.

The use of unused rexine for upholstery adds to the aesthetic appeal of these sofas. The team also used paint to give the sofas a polished and finished look. The cost of paint used is also included in the total cost of making the sofas, which is only 200 rupees.

The sofas made by Team Coaching Depot Nagercoil are not only affordable but also serve as an inspiration for others to adopt environment-friendly practices. The initiative by the team is a testament to the fact that sustainable and affordable solutions can be created by repurposing waste materials.

The work done by Team Coaching Depot Nagercoil under the leadership of Sr. DME/TVC and CDO/NCJ is exemplary and deserves recognition. The team’s efforts in creating these eco-friendly and cost-effective sofas are commendable and serve as a model for others to follow.
