Enhanced Travel Options: Indian Railways Launches Two Weekly Special Trains Connecting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra with Indore and Lohata

New Delhi, June 28, 2023 – In order to provide convenient travel options for railway passengers, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of a weekly reserved summer special train between Lohata and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. The special train, numbered 04249/04250, will run as per the following schedule:

Train number 04249, Lohata-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Summer Special Train, will depart from Lohata every Friday at 04:15 PM starting from June 30, 2023, until July 28, 2023, and will arrive at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 07:50 AM the next day. The return journey, train number 04250, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Lohata Summer Special Train, will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra every Saturday at 11:20 PM from July 1, 2023, until July 29, 2023, and will reach Lohata at 12:45 AM on the third day.

This special train, equipped with comfortable seating and sleeping arrangements, will halt at various stations in both directions, including Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly Muradabad, Saharanpur, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Jammu Tawi, and Udhampur.

Additionally, a weekly summer special train between Indore and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will also be operational with a total of 18 runs. Train number 09321/09322 will run as per the following schedule:

Train number 09321, Indore-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Summer Special Train, will depart from Indore every Wednesday at 11:30 PM starting from July 5, 2023, until August 30, 2023, and will reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 12:30 AM on the third day. The return journey, train number 09322, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Indore Summer Special Train, will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra every Friday at 03:50 AM from July 7, 2023, until September 1, 2023, and will arrive at Indore at 07:30 AM the next day.

The train will make stops at Devas, Ujjain Junction, Nagda Junction, Kota Junction, Sawai Madhopur Junction, Gangapur City, Bharatpur Junction, Mathura Junction, Delhi Safdarjung, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Jammu Tawi, and Udhampur stations in both directions.

Passengers can avail themselves of the convenient and comfortable services provided by these special trains, catering to both sleeper and general class compartments.
