General Manager Northern Railway holds Kumbh Mela-2021 arrangements

Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway held a Kumbh Mela -2021 arrangements and Business Development Units meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway and Divisional Railway Managers of N.R through video conferencing from Baroda House, NR headquarter office in New Delhi today.

Arrangements for Kumbh Mela to be held at Haridwar from January, 2021 and to get new freight through BDU were discussed in the meeting; all concerned departments have been asked to be ready with their blueprints. Running of special trains, deployment of staff, cleanliness and security of the passengers were the main issues discussed during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Gangal said that all out efforts to be made for Kumbh Mela -2021, keeping in view the crowd management in wake of Covid-19.On the other end ,Northern Railway through its Business Development Unit (BDU) team has been striving to increase freight business and new stream of freight loading has done successfully by Northern Railway. Efforts to increase freight business through outreach and enhanced engagement with companies in future also to be continued.
