Derailment of Train No 05048 Gorakhpur Kolkata Purvanchal Special Express
Train no 05048 Gorakhpur Kolkata Special journey commencing on 20/10/2020.
Section: Muzaffarpur-Samastipur Section of ECR
Station: Near Silaut Station (Approx 13 km away from Muzaffarpur).
The special train had started from Gorakhpur at 11:30 hrs today and its Two coaches (second AC coach A2, Sleeper Class S-5) got derailed just after crossing Silaut station.
As per information received from site, All passengers in these coaches are safe. No injuries. No casualties.
DRM Sonepur along with senior officials are at site.
All passengers have been shifted to the front portion and the train along with all passengers has proceeded for Samastipur where additional coaches will be attached and the train will depart for Kolkata.
