Govt should enact law against love jihad: VHP General Secy Surendra Jain

VHP leader Surendra Jain on Friday demanded that the Central and state governments bring strict legislations to stop incidents of “love jihad” in the country and appealed to the society to remain vigilant about such occurrences.

He claimed that chief ministers of various states have also been expressing their concerns in this regard from time to time.

Lately, there has been a volley of “love jihad” incidents. The VHP has compiled a list of 170 such cases that have been taken place in the last eight to 10 years, Jain claimed.

Alleging that organizations like the PFI, SIMI, ISI are funding “love jihad”, the VHP general secretary said, “The Central and state governments, realizing the monstrousness and magnitude of the love-jihad conspiracy, should enact strict laws to stop it.”
