Railways to Run Festival Special Trains Between Danapur, Sasaram and Charlapalli
Indian Railways has announced a series of special train services connecting Danapur and Sasaram in Bihar with Charlapalli in Telangana to handle the expected increase in passenger traffic during the upcoming Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals.
The special services are aimed at providing additional travel options to passengers during the peak festive season and facilitating a smoother and more comfortable journey between Bihar, Telangana and several important destinations across central and eastern India.
According to the railway schedule, three special train pairs will operate between Charlapalli and Danapur or Sasaram, while the operating period of an existing Patna–Charlapalli special train service has also been extended.
The trains will operate through different major railway routes, including DDU, Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Ballarshah and Kazipet, providing connectivity between Bihar and Telangana and serving passengers travelling to several cities and regions along the route.
Charlapalli–Danapur Special Train
The first service is Train No. 07049/07050 Charlapalli–Danapur–Charlapalli Special.
Train No. 07049 Charlapalli–Danapur Special will operate from October 4 to November 29, 2026, every Sunday.
The train will depart from Charlapalli at 9:30 am and travel towards Bihar via the DDU–Prayagraj Chheoki–Jabalpur–Nagpur–Ballarshah–Kazipet route.
According to the schedule, the train will reach DDU at 4:10 pm the following day, followed by scheduled halts at Buxar at 5:18 pm and Ara at 6:10 pm. It will arrive at Danapur at 7:45 pm.
The return service, Train No. 07050 Danapur–Charlapalli Special, will run from October 5 to November 30, 2026, every Monday.
The train will depart from Danapur at 9:15 pm. It will reach Ara at 9:45 pm and Buxar at 10:28 pm, before reaching DDU at 1:25 am on the following day.
After covering the remaining section of its route and making scheduled halts at various stations, the train will reach Charlapalli at 7:30 am on the third day.
The service is expected to provide an additional travel option for passengers travelling between Bihar and Telangana during the festival season.
Hyderabad–Danapur Special Service
The second service announced is Train No. 07091/07092 Hyderabad–Danapur–Hyderabad Special.
Train No. 07091 Hyderabad–Danapur Special will operate from October 3 to November 28, 2026, every Saturday.
The train will depart from Hyderabad at 12 noon and travel towards Bihar via Kazipet, Ballarshah, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Chheoki and DDU.
The service is scheduled to reach DDU at 9:10 pm the following day, followed by Buxar at 10:23 pm and Ara at 11:10 pm. It will arrive at Danapur at 12:30 am on the third day.
The return service, Train No. 07092 Danapur–Hyderabad Special, will operate from October 5 to November 30, 2026, every Monday.
It will depart from Danapur at 3:00 am, reaching Ara at 3:30 am, Buxar at 4:16 am and DDU at 6:20 am.
After halting at various stations on the route, the train is scheduled to reach Charlapalli at 12 noon on the following day, according to the announced timetable.
The additional service will provide another connection between Bihar and the Hyderabad region during the high-demand festival period.
Charlapalli–Sasaram Special
Railways has also announced a special train pair between Charlapalli and Sasaram.
Train No. 07041 Charlapalli–Sasaram Special will operate from October 8 to November 26, 2026, every Thursday.
The train will depart from Charlapalli at 8:00 am and travel through the DDU–Prayagraj Chheoki–Jabalpur–Nagpur–Ballarshah–Kazipet route.
The service is scheduled to reach DDU at 2:50 pm the following day and Bhabua Road at 3:30 pm, before arriving at Sasaram at 4:30 pm.
The return service, Train No. 07042 Sasaram–Charlapalli Special, will operate from October 9 to November 27, 2026, every Friday.
It will depart from Sasaram at 7:00 pm, with a scheduled halt at Bhabua Road at 7:30 pm and DDU at 9:10 pm.
The train will subsequently proceed towards Telangana, making scheduled halts at various stations before reaching Charlapalli at 3:30 am on the third day.
The service is expected to benefit passengers from Sasaram, Bhabua Road and surrounding areas seeking direct or convenient rail connectivity towards Telangana during the festive period.
Patna–Charlapalli Special Service Extended
In addition to the three newly announced special train pairs, Railways has also extended the operating period of the Patna–Charlapalli special service.
The service operates through Gaya, Koderma, Gomoh, Ranchi, Bilaspur, Raipur, Nagpur and Kazipet, connecting Bihar with Telangana through central and eastern India.
Under the revised schedule, Train No. 03253 Patna–Charlapalli Special will operate from October 5 to November 30, 2026, every Monday and Wednesday.
The corresponding Charlapalli–Patna services have also been scheduled on different days.
Train No. 03254 Charlapalli–Patna Special will operate from October 7 to December 2, 2026, every Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Train No. 03255 Charlapalli–Patna Special will operate from October 2 to November 27, 2026, every Friday.
This extension will provide additional connectivity between Patna and Charlapalli during the period covering the major festivals of October and November.
Additional Capacity During Festival Rush
The announcement comes ahead of a period when railway services typically experience increased passenger demand due to large-scale movement for Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath.
Bihar is a major destination for passengers returning home during the festive period, particularly around Chhath, while Telangana and other southern regions have significant numbers of passengers travelling towards Bihar and eastern India.
The special services announced on the Charlapalli–Danapur, Hyderabad–Danapur and Charlapalli–Sasaram corridors, together with the extension of the Patna–Charlapalli service, will provide additional train options during the peak travel period.

The additional services will cover important railway corridors linking Bihar, Telangana and central India, with scheduled halts at major stations including Danapur, Ara, Buxar, DDU, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Chheoki and Kazipet, depending on the individual service.
With the festival season approaching, the special trains are intended to supplement regular services and provide passengers with additional opportunities to plan their journeys. The services will remain operational across different periods from October through early December 2026, covering the principal festive travel window.
