Alstom Secures €144 Million Contract from Indian Railways

Alstom will supply traction components and provide maintenance services for 17 Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets

Alstom has secured a major contract worth €144 million (approximately INR 1285 crore) from Indian Railways. Under this agreement, Alstom will supply traction components and provide maintenance services for 17 Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets.

The contract involves the delivery of Mitrac traction components, electrical equipment, and a comprehensive five-year maintenance support plan at various railway depots across India.

In line with Alstom’s commitment to local manufacturing, the required components will be produced at the company’s facilities in India. Maintenance services will be carried out at multiple railway depots throughout the country to ensure the smooth operation of these high-speed trains.

This deal highlights Alstom’s strong partnership with Indian Railways as it continues to enhance the country’s railway infrastructure and support the Vande Bharat Express project.
