Railway Officials Ensure Timely Arrival of Wedding Party at Bride’s Home

A wedding party traveling from Mumbai to Guwahati faced a major setback near Howrah Station, but timely intervention from railway officials ensured the groom and his party reached the bride’s home without further delay.

The incident occurred when the wedding party was about 15 kilometers from Howrah, and the leader of the group, Chandrashekhar Bagh, realized that many of the elderly and children in the party were unable to move quickly enough to catch a connecting train at the station. Faced with this dilemma, Bagh took to Twitter to request urgent help from Howrah’s Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) and Senior Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (DCM).

Responding promptly, both railway officials directed their staff to assist the wedding party. As the Geetanjali Express arrived at Howrah station, a special corridor was created by railway employees to facilitate the movement of all 35 members of the wedding party from Platform 21 (New Complex) to Platform 9 (Old Complex) in a timely manner.

Additionally, four battery-operated carts and wheelchairs were arranged for the elderly members of the group, and over a dozen railway staff members were assigned to assist. Thanks to the swift action and cooperation of the railway team, the wedding party managed to board the Satyagrah Express (12345) without further delay and arrived at the bride’s home on time.

Chandrashekhar Bagh later took to Twitter once again to express his gratitude to the Railway Minister, officials, and staff for their invaluable assistance, ensuring the wedding celebration went ahead as planned.
