Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Inspects Infrastructure in Kerala
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has commenced a significant inspection of railway infrastructure in Kerala, traveling from Ernakulam to Kozhikode. The inspection includes a review of key developments and ongoing station redevelopment projects, including plans for a new station to connect traffic near Cochin Airport.
Accompanied by R.N. Singh, General Manager of Southern Railway, and Dr. Manish Thaplyal, Divisional Railway Manager for the Thiruvananthapuram Division, the Minister is traveling onboard a special inspection train. The team also includes Principal Heads of Departments and Senior Divisional Officers, highlighting the initiative’s importance in enhancing service quality and efficiency.
Upon arrival at Aluva Railway Station, the Minister was warmly welcomed by Benny Behanan, Member of Parliament, Anwar Sadath, MLA, and local officials. Minister of State George Kurian and former Union Minister V. Muraleedharan are also part of the delegation.
The inspection will include stops at Thrissur, Shoranur, Titus, and Kozhikode Amrit Station to assess ongoing project progress and ensure timely improvements that benefit commuters.
