PM Modi Unveils Multi-Billion Rupee Development Blitz in Jhabua, MP
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a slew of development projects amounting to approximately Rs 7300 crores in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. These initiatives, tailored to uplift the tribal populace, revamp water infrastructure, and bolster sectors like transportation and education, mark a significant stride in Madhya Pradesh’s progress trajectory.
Among the highlights of the event, Prime Minister Modi disbursed monthly instalments of Aahar Anudan to nearly 2 lakh women from marginalized tribes, ensuring access to nutritious food. Additionally, he distributed 1.75 lakh Adhikar Abhilekh under the SVAMITVA Scheme, granting beneficiaries rightful ownership of their land.
Furthering his commitment to grassroots development, the Prime Minister allocated Rs 55.9 crores to 559 villages under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, financing various infrastructural projects vital for rural upliftment.
In a bid to revolutionize education, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the ‘CM Rise School’ in Jhabua, which will integrate technology for modern learning experiences. He also initiated the establishment of the Tantya Mama Bhil University, catering to youth from tribal-dominated districts.
Emphasizing water management, the Prime Minister unveiled projects like the Talavada Project, a drinking water scheme benefiting over a thousand villages, and urban water supply schemes under AMRUT 2.0, aiding more than 50 thousand households. The ‘Nal Jal Yojna’ for 50 Gram Panchayats of Jhabua promises tap water to approximately 11 thousand households.
In the realm of transportation, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations, pivotal hubs to be revamped under the Amrit Bharat station scheme. Rail projects include doubling of key lines and the introduction of a third line, aimed at bolstering rail infrastructure and reducing travel time.
Road connectivity received a significant boost with the dedication of over 3275 crores worth of road development projects, including the expansion of key national highways. These endeavors are set to enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth.
Accompanied by dignitaries including the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai C. Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, PM Modi’s visit underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development and prosperity.
