Sangli Railway Station Sees Progress in Infrastructure Development
Sangli, Maharashtra: Significant strides are being made in the infrastructure development work at Sangli railway station. Currently, the construction of fabricated columns for the cover over the shed in the open area of platform no.1 is in progress.

Sangli railway station, classified as a class A station under the Miraj sub-division of Pune railway division in the Central Railway Zone of Indian Railways, plays a crucial role in serving the city of Sangli. Situated at an elevation of 558 meters above sea level, the station boasts three platforms. In 2020, a double electric broad-gauge railway line was established.
With 49 trains making stops, one train originating, and one train terminating at this station, Sangli Railway Station is a key transportation hub. For travelers heading to destinations such as Pandharpur, Solapur, Latur, Hyderabad, and Tirupati, Sangli offers convenient train services, especially with connections available at Miraj Junction, which is approximately 200 kilometers away from Pune Airport.
