Special Arrangements Implemented at Dadar Station for Mahaparinirvan Day Commemorations

In preparation for Mahaparinirvan Day, Dadar station has implemented a range of special arrangements to facilitate the smooth flow of services and ensure the convenience of travelers participating in the commemorations. The following measures have been put in place:

  1. Enquiry and UTS Counters at Chaityabhoomi Site: Enquiry and Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters have been set up at the Chaityabhoomi site, operational from December 5, 2023.
  2. Additional UTS Counters: Two extra UTS counters have been established at both Dadar and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) stations, effective from December 5, 2023.
  3. Long-Distance Special Train Services: Eighteen long-distance special train services will be available from December 4 to December 7, 2023, catering to the increased demand during this period.
  4. Suburban Special Train Services: Twelve suburban special train services are scheduled for the nights of December 5th and 6th (Tuesday and Wednesday).
  5. Help Desks: Help desks have been set up at Dadar Platform No. 6 and at the CSMT mainline concourse to assist passengers with inquiries and guidance.
  6. Medical Team Deployments: A round-the-clock medical team will be stationed at Dadar, Kalyan, Thane, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and CSMT stations on December 5th and 6th, with an ambulance stationed at Dadar station.
  7. Chaityabhoomi Signages: Chaityabhoomi signages have been strategically placed at Dadar station to guide travelers participating in the Mahaparinirvan Din events.
  8. Additional Security Personnel: One hundred and forty Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and 250 Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel have been deployed at Dadar station to enhance security measures.
  9. Enhanced Security at Other Stations: Twenty-four additional RPF personnel will be stationed at each of the CSMT, LTT, and Kalyan stations.
  10. Extra Commercial Department Staff: Additional staff has been deployed to handle the increased load, with 40 at Dadar, 20 at CSMT, 10 at Kalyan, and 10 at LTT.
  11. Monitoring by Officers: Officers will be conducting round-the-clock monitoring on December 5th and 6th at Dadar station and the Control Office at CSMT.
  12. Temporary Urinals/Toilets: The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has set up additional temporary urinals and toilets at Dadar station premises to accommodate the higher footfall expected during Mahaparinirvan Day commemorations.
