Central Railway Infrastructure Upgrade Boosts Speeds of 12 Trains on Key Routes

In a significant development, recent infrastructure enhancements by Central Railway have resulted in the acceleration of 12 trains, now running at 130 kmph on the Igatpuri-Nashik-Bhusaval-Akola-Badnera section covering 526.65 km. The implementation took effect on November 10, 2023.

Central Railway has expanded its 130 kmph operational routes to cover a total of 1111.33 km, encompassing the following sections:

• Igatpuri-Bhusaval-Badnera: 526.65 km
• Pune-Daund: 75.59 km
• Itarsi-Nagpur-Wardha-Ballarshah: 509.09 km

Additionally, ongoing work is in progress for the Daund-Solapur-Wadi section, covering 337.44 km.

The 12 trains that have commenced operating at the increased speed of 130 kmph on the Igatpuri-Nashik-Bhusaval-Akola-Badnera section since November 10, 2023, include:
