Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Inaugurates New Train Service Between Kotdwar and Anand Vihar Terminal
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, officially flagged off the inaugural run of Train Service No. 14090/14089, connecting Kotdwar and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi. The event took place virtually, with the Chief Minister initiating the service via a video link from Dehradun. Simultaneously, a ceremonial function was held at the Kotdwar Railway Station and the Railway Board, marking this momentous occasion.
Joining Pushkar Singh Dhami at this historic event were esteemed dignitaries, including Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand; Anil Baluni, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (Railway Board); Tirath Singh Rawat, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha; and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Pokhriyal Nishank, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. Numerous other notable figures were also present to witness this significant milestone.

Train No. 14090/14089, operating between Kotdwar and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi, will offer a convenient overnight service connecting the picturesque town of Kotdwar in Uttarakhand with the bustling metropolis of New Delhi.
The train, numbered 14090, will depart from Kotdwar at 22:00 hours and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 04:35 hours the following morning. On the return journey, Train No. 14089, the Anand Vihar-Kotdwar Express, will leave Anand Vihar at 21:45 hours, arriving in Kotdwar at 3:50 hours the next morning.
This service will include stoppages at key stations in both directions, such as Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Deoband, Roorkee, Laksar, Muazzampur Narayan, Najibabad, and Saneh Road. The service will operate daily, providing passengers with comfortable travel options, including AC 3rd tier, Sleeper Class, and General Class accommodations.
