Special Rail Service Between Badgam and Banihal to Provide Convenience for Passengers

Northern Railways has recently announced the operation of a special rail service to facilitate passenger convenience and alleviate extra rush on the Badgam-Banihal route. The special train service, numbered 04688/04687, is set to run as follows:

• Train Number 04688: Badgam to Banihal Special Train service will commence its operations from October 19, 2023, to January 18, 2024. Departing from Badgam at 09:10 AM in the morning, it will reach Banihal the same day at 11:05 AM.
• Train Number 04687: Banihal to Badgam Special Train service will also operate from October 19, 2023, to January 18, 2024. Departing from Banihal at 04:50 PM in the evening, it will arrive in Badgam at 06:35 PM on the same day.

The special rail service, which is scheduled to operate 184 times, will make stops at both directions at key stations like Srinagar, Avantipur, Anantnag, and Kazi Gund, enhancing connectivity and transportation options for passengers traveling between Badgam and Banihal.
